Week's Odds and Ends

I had several pictures that I took this week that didn't fit in with anything else that I posted.
I tried to get Oreo to pose with the beautiful daffodils but he was his usual uncooperative self.  Then of course any time Emma thinks something else is getting attention and she isn't she has to try and reverse the situation so end of photo shoot.
It looks like the bees made it trough the winter.
E took a rare trip down to the river with Emma to go fishing, no success.  Not sure what she would have done with a fish had she caught one.
We are hoping to break ground soon on a new barn (drawing not to scale- my first attempt at using Paint with a picture).  There will be a 60 x 100 foot room (which could be used as an arena) with a 24 foot shed along the long side.
And for the end of the odds, Hank decided to scratch a itch (a little to aggressively).  The hair is starting to grow back.

Love the cat in the daffodils!

Those silly horses. When they find something that feels good, they can just destroy a mane or tail.

Sounds like the new barn will be awesome! Happy building!

I have barn envy.

Our barn has seen it's better days and I see no hope of replacing it.

That bare butt is so funny! Glad the bees made it through the winter.

Beautiful scenery. Found you through FFF. About two years ago my horse rubbed all of the hair off of his rear. After several vet visits and testing we never discovered the cause. He rubbed it until it was bleeding (not sure if yours did that). Anyway...the only thing that helped ease his discomfort was a mixture of mineral oil and iodine. There is also a salve that is similar that I found through my vet. We decided it must be an allergy to something he possibly ate (possibly in his hay). It did not reoccur last year...It also affected the underside of his tail. Your horse is the first one that I have seen that looked similar.
