About Us

My husband and I purchased our farm in 1996.  We build a house and moved here 3 years later.  We have since been able to purchase additional land and we now have about 500 acres.  We run 180 head of beef cows and retain ownership of the calves when we send them to a feedlot in Nebraska.  We have about 40 nanny goats that are used for brush and weed control and we sell the kids in the fall.  We also have 7 horses that we train and ride in a variety of activities from showing to endurance riding.   Our 2 girls have been in 4-H showing horses and cattle.  Both were on the State 4-h horse judging team.  V, the oldest, started college at Virginia Tech in 2012.  E will graduate high school in 2015.  I work part time as a small animal vet in addition to the work I do here on the farm.

came across your site when I googled gooseneck rockers since I also bought one at an auction! I was reading where your popcorn pan had a hole in it and did some searching. If you go to ebay and search using the sentence "vintage stove top popcorn popper" it will pull up some that are similar to yours. also here is a link to one that is on etsy.com https://www.etsy.com/listing/173878382/sale-green-handle-ez-corn-popper?ref=sr_gallery_2&ga_search_query=stove+top+popcorn+popper&ga_vintage_rewrite=vintage+stove+top+popcorn+popper&ga_original_query=2&ga_search_type=vintage&ga_view_type=gallery I searched using the same sentence. You could also take it to someone who dose metal work and they can put a plug in it. I have brother who is crazy about popcorn and you do not touch his pot as it is "seasoned" lol. He uses a hammered aluminum pot. Beautiful pic's of your farm, animals and projects! Good luck with the pot!

Nice! There are a plot of cows and ranches where I live. I also want to become a vet, except I want to be a horse vet, and I am a freshman so I am not much younger than your kids.
