We harvested our first cabbage head ever. It weighed 5 1/2 pounds.
Anyone got a good cabbage recipe?I also picked 11 cucumbers today. This is in addition to the 8 E picked yesterday.

We have been eating cabbage from our neighbor. It did not have a tight head like that variety. I chopped it and added it to root veggies (beet, parsnip, carrot, and onion) that were baked in the oven with olive oil, salt, and pepper. I added the cabbage at the end and let it wilt. We served the veggies over pasta. (adding cooked bacon is also good)
ReplyDeleteAnother night I added the chopped and steam wilted cabbage to our pesto dish.
Both were good.
