There is always something that needs to be cleaned and stuff on the farm is no exception.
Today I decided to tackle the cattle guard.
This one is on a downhill slope so gravel, mud, leaves and pine needles all accumulate in it.
A small hoe and shove and muscle do the trick.
But it does leave a little mess in the drive.
Cattle grids! Yuck! Everything gets stuck in there, even Hedgehogs!

ReplyDeleteThey look different than ours, ours are just pipe with a big hole underneath, we often get a vac truck to clean them out cause they are so big it would take all day otherwise.
ReplyDeleteOurs were more like what Crystal described, not sure how they cleaned them haven't had one around for years
