After a rocky start at the hotel last night, we ended up getting a good night's rest. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast this morning was good, bacon, eggs, waffles, fruit etc. We got a decent start at making it to the arch early. We parked on the riverfront in a lot that didn't have an attendant so J ended up being worried that the car might get towed. There was no line to get in and we got to visit the Lewis and Clark Westward Expansion museum for and hour while we waited our turn to ride to the top. Once up there I was able to take a picture of the car parking and identify the car to ease J's mind.
We left around 11 and drove on to York, Nebraska, another 550 miles.
We splurged on eating at Chances R, a great restaurant with a nice atmosphere. We had been advised by a friend who had eaten there before to dress nicely. If so, you were seated in the main dinning room. Otherwise, you were relegated to a side room where the service wasn't as good. I guess we looked good enough because we got to sit in the main room.
Wow thats quite a ways to travel! I would like to see the Arch one day too as well as Lewis and Clarks Museum, we saw the one in Great Falls but the St Louis one is probably totally different
