I don't even know what it is..??
What is it?? A cayenne pepper, a gecko, a dried leaf? But I think the first answer is best on how it got there. :-)

a dead critter of some sort? must have been a bird that left it behind.
It looks like a dead frog that a cat left.
Lovely lodge pole but yeah weird how something is sitting on there. Perhaps left by a bird?
