With the goats kidding now we are out there checking on them several times a day.
This pair goat off to a slow start and I had to tube feed one but they are doing good now. But just over the hill.....I saw this fox running in the field. The guard dogs were at the other end of the field and couldn't see it.
J was on the other side of the fence checking the cows that are caving now and when he came into sight the fox took off. Foxy is definitely big enough to carry off a newborn goat but so far none have come up missing. As long as the goats stay in the sight of the guard dogs, they should be safe.
