Our hay for here and the farm up the road has all been delivered. That just leaves BJ’s. Joe is getting a little tired of moving round bales.
This hay has been made at least a month earlier than what we were getting. The cows won’t know what to do with hay this good. It’s nice to have this winter’s hay lined up and ready. Now I just have to hunt for some fescue free square bales to have for Draper for the last month of her pregnancy.
Nothing like having the hay in! I am waiting for the local farmers to put up their hay- we have had so much rain that not many were able to cut. Good weather for the next week so hopefully I should have my hay in by mid month. Now to see how many horses I will have to feed! We have so much pasture I should only have to feed from December to the beginning of May. Hoping to be down to 2 horses, maybe 3.
