Because I usually trend toward neutrals, this is the rug I ordered. It is made from strips of cow hide with a felt backing.
The color is listed as grey/ivory.
This one is listed as Ivory/Brown. I liked it but it was pretty bold, maybe making too much of a statement for me and it was $117 more than the Grey/Ivory one.
This is what showed up.
Clearly, it is the brown one even though the label on the back says grey.
It was made in India so maybe there was some sort of language issue with inspector "SM" understanding the difference between brown and grey. But whatever the problem, I am left with the decision to keep what I got or go through the hassle for trying to return it. So, time to vote. Should it stay or should it go?
Can you post a photo of the rug displayed in the living room?
ReplyDeleteYou ordered the grey/ivory and received the brown that was $117 more than you paid? I vote stay, mostly because if they couldn't get the initial order right, and you're dealing with a foreign company, what are the odds that they get it right the second time?
ReplyDeleteSorry, my vote may be somewhat influenced by the fact that I am currently at war with a foreign company who took my money in November for a Christmas order that still hasn't arrived. :-(
In isolation I like how the gray/ivory looks. I would like to see how this rug looks with your furniture. It could work very well.
