Because V and M had to come get baby S, J thought it would be a good time to move the cows from the rented land back to our farms. Good help is hard to come by so we took full advantage.
J, as usual, had all the prep work done. There was a little sorting to do, then the first group headed down the road. J's position was to drive ahead and keep them from going on down the road.
M's job was herd them from behind.
My job was to turn them up the hill once they made it through the gate,
and keep them from continuing on down around the hill. Mission accomplished.
The next group had to be walked quite a bit further. This time I got to drive ahead and wait. M got the honor of herding again and J brought the tractor up to feed the rest. With M around my work load decreased significantly. Nice to have good help.
