Happy Birthday

E had a friend over for the weekend to celebrate her 13th birthday.  They went to the movie 2012. 

I'm not making another cake for her birthday tomorrow.

Puppies' First Snow

I think Bumble and Bea enjoyed their first snow this weekend.

They have been staying with the goats maybe a little too well.  They missed 2 meals because the goats were too far from the barn for the puppies to see J and come eat.  Emma finally went out and brought them in to eat.

Christmas Tree

This a a preview of the Dec. 25th tree of the day.  We went to get out real tree today.  We've been cutting one from a local grower.  He has a very limited collection but they are very cheap.  Unfortunately, he hasn't been doing too much pruning on them for the last few years.  I think they have gotten out of hand.

Since it snowed it was difficult to tell what the tree would look like so I just asked which one he had his eye on.  This is what he pointed out.  He said we could always make it shorter but it had a good top.

It was over 12 feet tall when I measured it at home.  I've done some pruning but haven't had a chance to get in in the house yet.  No telling what it will end up looking like.

Frirst Snow

We had the first snow of the season today.  Of course this was the day J sent 75 head of cattle to the Nebraska feedlot.  It was a muddy slippery mess loading the trailers to haul them out to a facility where they could load out on a semi tractor trailer.  They should arrive at their destination tomorrow.

More Puppies

There has been a request for more puppy pics.  E and J were having a leash training session.  

It's not a good idea to have a 100 pound dog that you have to carry because it won't walk on a leash.

Thursday

E's team won 12-7.  She got to play some today.  E's version says she played 1 min. in the 3rd period and the half time score was 11-0.  J's story is E played 3 min. in the 2nd period and the score at half time was 9-6.  I didn't get to the game but I'm not so sure E and J were at the same one.

Class Ring

V got her class ring today.  We ordered it a few weeks ago after she said "everyone" had one.  After I picked it up today she said it will be the first one in her class.  I don't remember getting mine until end of Jr. year.  

Anyway, it looks very nice 10k white gold with blue stone.
