On my way home from work Thursday, the low tire pressure light came on. I didn't get around to looking at the tires until Friday evening. 20 pounds in the right rear.
Closer inspection revealed a screw. Now the shop was closed until Monday. Fortunately, they were able to remove the screw and plug the hole today.Monday, May 23, 2022

Kit Kat Sunday #180
Kit Kat is taking advantage of some Zipper free daylight outdoor time.
He walked around like he owned the place today while we were setting out the rest of the garden.I have missed this side of Kit. Since we got Zipper, he just hangs out in the garage during the day and then runs to the barn when we let him out at night.
It was nice to see his swagger return.

Gone But Not Lost
I had to work today. We just have appointments until we close at noon on Saturdays. I decided to take Zipper in and spay her after work.
She did perfect. She didn't get car sick. In the run all morning she just stayed on the bed resting quietly. Surgery went fine. Post op, she will be staying a little longer than usual at the clinic. I'm sure if she came home she would be out zipping around way too much. I would hate to have to call myself in for my own emergency. Friday, May 20, 2022
Big Playday
We kept Sadie for one more day. Since I had to work the last two, she has been at daycare and we haven't been able to spend much time with her. So I kept her here today instead of sending her back to daycare. She had a great day.
She petted a goat and played at the barn. Got carried by Pop Pop.
Found Kit Kat at the new barn and got him back to the house so he could eat.
Got Emily's old tricycle out and started learning how to ride. Sitting is all she is doing so far. Her leg weren't long enough to peddle.
Then the farrier came to shoe Draper and Otoelene. She was an angel while I had to hold the horses.
I think she even wanted to help. And she played with Zipper. Then back home to start bonding with her new sister.

Couponing #70
You will just have to take my word for it because I didn't get my receipt, but with a combination of instant savings, Dollar General store coupons, and manufacture paper and digital coupons, this came to...
-15 cents. A savings of $29.15. The extra 15 cents went toward tax. Never do a deal where your overage isn't covered by something, apparently it "flags" the store which I have read is a bad thing.

She’s Here
Baby Sadie has a new sister.
Meet Allie. She arrived at 9:46 this morning.
Mother and daughter (and dad), are all doing well. This time Joe and I got to go to the hospital and see her. Only Sadie had to stay outside. No visitors under 12. We are beyond excited about this new addition.

Orange Rust
This is in the category of "It is always something."
I was working in the garden when I noticed some of the blackberry vines didn't look right. On closer inspection, I saw all of this orange stuff on the underside of the leaves. Without my glasses I first thought it was some sort of insect eggs. I took a leaf inside to check out with my glasses on and saw it was orange rust. It is a fungal infection. The extension site I checked out said there was no cure and to dig up and destroy the infected plants. So far, I only identified it on 2 of the plants. They are now in a bag to head to the dump. I was too scared of it spreading to just toss it over the fence like I do everything else. This may end up being the end of our blackberries, but I hope not.
