There was another clearance event at Dollar General this weekend. It started Friday. I was there when the doors opened, but so were several others. It was a mad rush to the clearance aisle where people started clearing the shelves of all the laundry detergent. I picked up one but found a couple others on another isle. I went back to the clearance aisle and a man that was one of the primary culprits of shelf clearing joked that he didn’t get much. I said his buggy looked pretty full. He said,” yeah, but I had to elbow my way to get it.” I don’t know what his total was, but I overheard another full buggy one at around $150.

Well you have come face to face with the competition. Joking about elbowing your way to get it - not particularly funny.
It looks like you did well without sharp elbows.
