New Friend

We've had a twin calf in the barn lot all summer.  J bottle fed him and he is now weaned and eating grain.  But his only company has been Sissy.
Yesterday J brought in another calf, this black baldy steer.   The cow was very lame and not doing well with the calf any more so J weaned him and hauled him to the barn lot.
SF (Sissy's Friend), finally has a friend of his own.
They played and followed each other around.
He was a little apprehensive about the feed at first.
But since SF was eating he thought he would give it a try too.
Sissy couldn't reach the new feeding arrangement so she had her meal in her usual trough.

ya a friend! We have an orphan calf (his mom dies at 2.5 months old) and he has lived with my horses most of the summer and Neil went to put him back with the cows and we notice he is back up close to the yard again, lol.

Nice to have a buddy, they just seem to grow better when there are 2
