V's science fair paper got accepted to be presented in Richmond for the Virginia Junior Academy of Science.
It was a 3 day convention with about 500 other presenters across the state. Her abstract was then published in a scientific journal. She said her project (can horses develop a resistance to dewormers) seemed very simple compared to other people who had been researching cancer. We are still proud of her for getting this far.

Congratulations to V! If she wanted to do something with dogs try this. Why do large dogs fed only prepared dog food not live as long now than they did 25 years ago? I figure 10 years out of a Lab or Golden is about maximum. What is missing in the diet? And does this increase the chance of cancer in dogs? FWIW.
These all sound like interesting ideas. Along those lines, I've always found the link between corn in the diet and seizures in dogs to be worth taking a second glance at. Corn seems to be a much greater foe of dogs than people give credit for, yet cheap dog food is loaded with it.
Congrats to her. That's a great achievement!
