I planted sunflowers one year and got sunflower plants from V and E for mother's day several years ago. Since then sunflowers volunteer everywhere.

This year I was more disciplined and transplanted some to a row in the garden. Everything else I pulled up. Yes it was difficult to pull up something growing, but I had to tell myself if it is not where I want it, it's a weed. The garden is much more organized for it.
