I went to an auction this weekend of 24 acres w/rustic cabin and junk.
The land is even more rural than where we are. The views were great. The "rustic cabin" was an old trailer with an addition tacked on the front. They spent 4 hours selling the junk. The land only brought $56,000.
I had to leave before they got to the horse equipment. At the rate they were going it probably would have been another 2 hours before they got to it. There was a brand new pack saddle I would liked to have bid on, not that I would have ever used it but nice to have just in case.

So I'm intrigued. You say land with rustic cabin and junk. The first part (land with rustic cabin) seems to be a euphanism of what they were selling (a trailer is hardly a rustic cabin) and then there is the second part -- I'm sure they did not discribe the rest as junk. So did you get anything?
They had a lot of Marlboro stuff. Apparently if you smoke enough cigarettes you can send off for hiking and camping supplies. There was also a large collection of covered wagon lamps, dream catchers and plastic toy horses. No I didn't buy anything.
I love auction sales! Although now I ussually come home with less junk than I used to when i first started going, lol
That is sooo funny. I can picture the whole thing.
