First the fences then the story. Fridays Fences is for pictures of or through a fence.
It seems like a lot of my pictures are of something trying to get through the fence on their own. Frosty and Snowflake are finally too big to fit through the crack in the gate of the dog pen but that doesn't keep them from trying. They are growing well and very active.
And very cute. But the other morning when I went to feed them there was a visitor in their pen, Sissy. J had fed them the night before and I just thought he had done it.
Sissy has been missing her grain that she had been stealing from the heifer and I thought J put her in the pen with the little ones because she was getting in his way. Remember, this was the ledge she likes to stand on.
This is the view looking down into the barn from the ledge.
It's about 8 feet down. J said he didn't put her in there. Did she jump or fall? That's anyone's guess. She seemed fine when I found her but she is moving a little stiff today.
Before you go and feel too sorry for her, this is how she greeted Snowflake when they first met.
If we can get the rest of the goats in, today may be banding day.

Poor baby! I hope Sissy isn't hurt.
So cute!!
There's just not a lot that's cuter than goat kids! So sweet! And yes, there's not a lot that's more adventurous and ornery than a goat, either!
Hope Sissy is recovered from her (mis)adventure. Those babies are adorable! I can't wait for my kids to arrive in a couple of weeks.
oh, those tiny babies! and that high jumping/falling goat! yikes!
That "greeting" between Sissy and snowflake - YIKES - but a great shot. You had fences in almost all the pictures. What adorable little baby goats - very cute pictures. That is one crazy jump that Sissy took.
The babies are so adorable. Sissy is lucky she didnt break a leg...thats a long way down!
