Yesterday morning it was 39 degrees and the wind wasn’t blowing. I considered turning on the gas logs but had a better idea of burning some brush beside the driveway from all of the pine trees that blew down during the hurricane last fall.
I used one match and two tissues to get it started. I really didn’t need the two tissues. Then it all went whoosh. Uh oh…
I could just see me setting the woods on fire.
Luckily, that didn’t happen and it burned down like it should have. We were even able to drag a bunch more debris out of the field to add to the brush burning. It may still take awhile before it gets to show farm status again

Yikes! That was scary. I'm glad it all settled down.
I was looking back on my blog from 2 years ago, in May we had devastating forest fires and evacuations of towns. Glad your fire didn't get away on you!
