Record Keeping

We had a new calf today.  Nothing surprising about that because our fall calving cows are in the middle of their calving season.  The surprise was that it was one of the cows we bought that was suppose to have a calf on her that was born in January.  J thought her and two others looked a little far along so he weaned those three calves a couple of weeks ago.  

 Then this big guy was born last night.  (You can just see Button in the background)

 Which means she was bred at the end of November.  It is also suppose to be out of a homozygous black bull.

So much for some people's record keeping or lack thereof.   But with the 2 stags in the group, what could we expect.
