Trees And Flowers

Neither Joe or I thought the wind blew that hard but there were down trees this afternoon all over the county and our power was out all afternoon and evening.

The main road was blocked on my way home.

Some men were able to clear one lane so I was able to get by.

Then in our yard my Hawthorne tree split and fell on the fence.

Joe’s favorite thing, cutting trees off fences.

But I am sort of glad it fell on the fence and not on my day lilies that are in full bloom. 

The fence bounces back, I’m not sure the flowers would have been as resilient.
